Zebro is a wild donkey and not an ox or steer. The Zebro became extinct in the Iberian Peninsula, from the sixteenth century. This associated with the appreciation of their meat and also the invasion that it did in the gardens, formerly pasture fields, led to its extinction.
The grounds of Zebreira are quite fertile and predominate the cultivation of olive trees, fruit trees and cereals.
Inside the village be sure to admire the Mother Church (18th century), the chapels (especially the altar of the chapel of the Holy Spirit), the pillory of 1686 (whose faces have lions, armillar sphere, a flower and two arms with a cleaver) and the house of the Chamber with the bell tower.
