Situated at the northern end of the municipality, with a not very extensive area (44.5 km2), this parish borders lousa (the West), Louriçal do Campo and Póvoa de Rio Moinhos (the Source), Escalos de Baixo and Alcains (to the south) and the neighboring municipality of Fundão (to the north).
Lardosa is more or less flattened land, with large tracts carved into small plots of good agricultural land where, even today, its inhabitants take their livelihood, both in products plucked from the land or in products derived from sheep animals, keeping today a considerable number of herds. The Santa Águeda Dam covers this place by the Spring.
From its remote origins are testimonies the archaeological remains, found in different places of the parish. J. Ribeiro Cardoso, by 1953, gives news of an ara collected by Dr. Manuel de Paiva Pessoa in the Fields of Lardosa, then deposited in the Francisco Tavares Proença Júnior Museum, dedicated to the deity "Trebanura" that will have Roman origin according to the opinion of Leite de Vasconcelos. Other places of interest and archaeological remains are: the Place of The Inchidro (village), the Place of the Old Tower (isolated finds), the Place of Lardosa (isolated finds) the Place of the Marateca (bridge), Place of the Valley of the Vineyard (isolated finds) and the Place of the Valley of the Tower, by the toponym that its name closes.
