Distributed by about 549 ha its main places are: Azevinhas, Bouça, Barral, Carvalhal, Canceled, Cachada, Casa Alta, Costa, Celeirô, Guilhade, Ínsua, Lourosas, Quintela, Pedregal, Pegas, Outeiro, Raso, Roias e Quintas, Rosado, Seixalvo and Senra, Suidos e Torre, Urjal, Igreja, Luvainho, Fontelas, Pousada, Lavoura, Fraia, Corredouros, Forja, Mateus and Azamar.
Its limits are defined to the north, by the Parish of Silva; the Spring, by the Parish of Fontoura; to the south by the parish of Sapardos and the West by the Parish of Cornes. These last two from the municipality of Vila Nova de Cerveira.
According to the 1258 Inquiry, the fidalgo named Nuno Sola was born in the parish in the 12th century, which would leave its name linked to acts of heroism. Fernão Sola, in turn, lives in the 15th century. He married D. Maria Teles da Silva, daughter of Martim Teles da Silva, also a native of this parish.
